Vetiva Capital boss Laolu Mudashiru is dead

Olaolu Mudashiru, a co-founder and deputy managing director of one of Nigeria’s top capital management companies, Vetiva Capital, is dead.

The businessman/investment banker was reportedly killed in a car hit-and-run accident while riding a bicycle with a group of cyclists on Gerrard Road in the affluent neighborhood of Ikoyi, Lagos. The driver sped off, leaving him and the others with very serious injuries.

Mr Mudashiru and the other two bikers were taken by ambulance to the Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon Road in Ikoyi, where Mudashiru later passed away from head injuries, Peoples Gazette reports.

Mr Mudashiru earned his medical degree from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and his MBA from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.

He was the late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru’s son, a former military official in charge of Lagos State.
